Hira Malik Pre-med
Hira Malik is a passionate advocate and scholar invested in the intersections of global health, human rights, and social policy. Pursuing pre-medical studies, her broader scholarship embraces the medical humanities and the politics of displacement and illness. A proud Houstonian and Texan, Hira focuses on empowering migrants and displaced populations through Students for Refugees and service to medically marginalized groups. She also spends time in the Emory Scholars Program, volunteering as an Advanced EMT, writing for the Emory Undergraduate Medical Review, and researching rheumatologic health disparities with the HERO-GENE Lab. Outside of this, Hira enjoys cafe-hopping (and critiquing), concerts, nature walks, and meaningful conversations.
