Nava KlopperWomen's Gender & Sexuality Studies and Comparative Literature
Nava Klopper is a third-year student studying Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Comparative Literature at Emory College of Arts and Sciences. Nava is from Denver, Colorado and is an alumna of East High School, where she helped initiate a Queer Literature Class. She is closely connected to her communities, having worked for the non-prot BookGive facilitating access to books in the Denver Metro area over Summer 2022 and worked as an Outreach Specialist in Atlanta providing free rapid HIV testing with Empowerment Resource Center during Summer 2023. After a semester abroad in Santiago, Chile, she is excited to return to her on campus commitments as co-president of Emory Libraries Students Ambassadors and to the IDEAS (interdisciplinary exploration and scholarship) Fellowship. Nava is currently working on an Honors Thesis about the development of sex positivity in feminist and queer intellectual thought, work she hopes to continue developing in graduate school.
