Lily FreemanEconomics and Human Health
My name is Lily, and I’m a junior studying economics. Taking classes like Intermediate Microeconomics and Data Science For Economists has developed my love of quantitative problem-solving — but just as integral to my Emory experience has been exploring departments ranging from Human Health to African American Studies to biology. Taking a wide range of classes has made me a sharper, more well-rounded thinker, and so has being part of the IDEAS Fellowship; discussing new topics with the other fellows each week has allowed me to engage with complex ideas and grow as a student. As an IDEAS Fellow, I’ve also loved working with two other fellows to propose and co-teach AI in Medicine, a fall 2024 Emory class.
