Sandy AskinsArt History and Political Science

Sandy Askins is a Junior majoring in political science and art history. She is an education intern and student guide at the Carlos Museum, helping organize and run events such as Sunday FUNday and Student Night. Sandy is also a Community Building and Social Change Fellow. Through this fellowship, she worked with We Love Buford Highway to implement a Community Ambassador Program. She is also the vice president of operations in the Chinese Undergraduate Student Organization, president of Emory’s Science.Art.Wonder, a political science research assistant, and a part of the Imagining Democracy Lab. Her academic interests include the intersection of civic engagement and aordable housing, the political implications of art, and public policy.
