Amanda Obando is an international student, born and raised in El Salvador. Her major, Interdisciplinary Studies, is influenced by growing up with parents involved in humanitarian projects mixing many disciplines (living on a remote island was not a rare occurrence). With a father specializing in biology, a mother in communications and anthropology, and a brother in graphic design, Amanda is taking on the multidisciplinary legacy by mixing Film, Media, Anthropology, Creative Writing, and an Ethics Minor to assess the construction of spaces in the modern technological world and our daily lives through scholarship and film-making. She is involved on the TableTalk Exec board as Co- President of Media and Logistics and mostly likes to TA in the IDEAS fellowship. Usually you can find her doing her own projects with people and groups in the community.
