Sarah Mahoney is a junior double majoring in Biology and Economics with a concentration in health economics on a pre-med track. She is passionate about exploring the intersections and applications of different disciplines to expand access to health worldwide. As a research assistant at the Sibley Heart Institute at Emory's Hospital, she examines the outcomes of patients with congenital heart defects. When she doesn’t have her head in a book, Sarah gets some much-needed stress relief playing for the Women’s Rugby Club, on which she serves as match secretary. A proud Rhode Islander, Sarah is happy to discuss the finer points of coffee milk and the proper terminology for “water fountain” (it’s a bubbler) with anyone who will listen.
