William Palmer is a junior at Emory College studying Economics and Political Science. During his time he has acquired strong Portuguese language skills, completed advanced work in Shakespearean acting, and developed a love for Ethiopian food. Beyond being an IDEAS fellow, Will is also a fellow at the Center for the Study of Law, Politics, and Economics, working with a group of professors on research into bias in our judicial system with respect to death penalty appeals. He serves as President of the Young Democrats of Emory and is a political news junkie. Additionally, Will has served in various student government roles, and currently serves as a college-wide representative on the Student Government Association. He spent the past summer as a finance intern for General Electric, but has public sector aspirations. His academic and extracurricular work allowed him to become a Dean's Achievement Scholar and serve as a student advisor to the Dean of the College.
