Ahd Niazy is a senior at Emory College, studying Creative Writing and Interdisciplinary Studies in Culture and Society. She is presently pursuing a senior honors thesis that revolves around storytelling and cultural change, specifically in relation to the Arab world and Arab women’s stories. She is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Jahanamiya, an online literary journal that publishes writing exclusively by Saudi Arabian women and artwork by regional artists. The journal serves as a platform for gendered cultural exploration, as well as a space to archive Saudi women’s stories, experiences, and views. Ahd is invested in issues of identity and culture, particularly as they relate to gender and women’s rights across the globe.
