Jason Ehrenzeller is a senior from Harrington Park, New Jersey, double-majoring in Spanish and International Studies. His drive to represent interdisciplinary learning on campus is a result of the multidisciplinary nature of the Spanish major, which has allowed him to explore literature, history, translation, poetry, politics, Portuguese, and more of the world via lived experiences in Argentina, Spain, and Cuba. Jason is writing an honors thesis on Translation Studies through the Spanish Department and is performing the first English-language translation of a short story by Carlos Gámez Pérez. As an IDEAS Fellow, Jason serves as a sidecar TA and directs Best of Emory. Within the University, Jason is currently a Fox Center Humanities Fellow, leads a poetry workshop, and operates a Spanish- and Portuguese- language radio show. He has served as Club Golf president, an executive board member of The Pulse, and a Project SHINE ESL teacher. After graduation, Jason intends to continue to translate, travel, and work towards a doctorate in Spanish literature.
