Science, Culture & Society Minor
The primary goal of the Science, Culture and Society Minor is to expand science literacy by introducing basic ideas in the physical and biological sciences. The minor will engage students in intense discussion and research in issues that can benedit from varied approaches - issues such as race, bio-terrorism, technology and human well being (i.e., the human genome project, social impact of the internet), health, and the nature of consciousness. This will allow students to approach science from non-traditional directions or through interdisciplinary connections such as science and literature, science writing, and science and the arts. Furthermore, all students will broaden their perspectives and strengthen their knowlege.
